Welcome- The Gothenburg Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary clinic located on the west side of the city of Gothenburg, Nebraska. We have a top notch veterinarian and excellent support staff. Dr. Roger Dudley is a native to the area of Gothenburg and offers general health care and surgery for dogs, cats, and large animals. Mission Statement- Our goal and policy is to treat our clients as we would treat our families, and to treat our clients’ pets as though they were our own. Our clients and patients are the heart of our practice and the reason we are here. At all times our clients and patients will be treated with respect, dignity and compassion. Being of service to our clients and patients is the definition of our purpose and the mission of our practice.

History of Clinic- The Gothenburg Animal Hospital was built in 1952 by Dr. Bryant Nisley during that year Dr. Clarence Nelms joined the practice. In 1960, Dr. Merle Dudley (father of Dr. Roger Dudley) joined the practice. The main focus of the practice at this time was treating large animals. In 1974, Dr. Nelms retired and Dr. Robert Nelson joined the practice. In 1976, Dr. Dudley died unexpectedly. Dr. Nelson continued practicing with Dr. Roger Ellis until 1996. At this time, Dr. Roger Dudley returned home to Gothenburg and joined Dr. Robert Nelson. Dr. Nelson retired in 2004. Dr. Roger Dudley is presently the sole owner and practicing veterinarian of the practice treating all large and small animals.

Fees- We will make every effort to keep our fees fair and reasonable. We will be happy to give you an estimate prior to treatment of your pet. Payment is expected at completion of services. We accept cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard.
